Curriculum
HoneyBees Playgroup follows the National Curriculum Foundation Stage and the children are developed in the following curriculum areas:
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Communication, language and literacy
- Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
- Knowledge and understanding of the world
- Physical development
- Creative development
At the end of their time at HoneyBees, rising 5's will be assessed through observation, and parents will be given a "learning journey" booklet. This will summarise your child's achievements towards the Early Learning Goals within the Foundation Stage and covers all six areas of the curriculum. This will then be passed on to their school for continuation into Reception class. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss this with their child's key person.
Should you require any more information on Early Learning Goals of the Foundation Stage, please talk to the HoneyBees supervisor or alternatively, log onto www.parentcentre.gov.uk.
