Date Protection
Honeybees keeps personal information about your child on file, and is a ‘data controller’ for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998. These details include:
- Name of child and parents
- Address
- Telephone number
- Medical information
- Observations about learning and development
We collect this information from you, and may receive information about your child from their former pre-school. We share this information with Plumpton Primary School, and some of the information with East Sussex County Council and the Department for Children Schools and Families.
We hold and use your child’s information to support teaching and learning, to monitor and report on how well your child is doing, to provide pastoral care and to assess how well Honeybees is performing.
You can ask to see the information we hold about your child. Please ask the Supervisor.
East Sussex County Council use headcount information to identify when a school place is needed. The Department for Children Schools Families and use headcount information for funding predictions. There is more information about how these bodies use your information on their websites.
