Plumpton Tennis Club
What is it?
The tennis club is run for the benefit of both its members and the general public.
Our facilities include 3 outdoor hard courts, 2 with floodlights, a clubhouse with kitchen and toilet facilities, and a car park. We have a team of qualified LTA coaches for adults and juniors and an extensive events and social calendar which runs throughout the year.
Monday, we have after school coaching for juniors, ages 5 to 10 in separate groups. Tuesday, is Teen night. We have a mixed age group on Saturday for those unable to attend during the week. Friday night is for the older juniors and students. According to demand, we run Summer camps with qualified coaches.
If parents don’t wish to play, they can always just bring the children down and relax with a cup of tea on our porch whilst the children play tennis.
Our popular ball machine provides a great way to practice your shots.
How much does it cost?
Annual membership rates for 2011/12 are amongst the cheapest in the area:
Family (£200), adult (£100), student £26, junior £21. These rates are discounted by 10% for early renewal and reduced rates are available for those joining from August onwards.
For non-members, courts are available for hire to the public at a cost of £3 per adult or £1.50 per child per hour. Alternatively, £8 per court per hour for 4 adults. You can book by visiting the village shop and picking up a key.
